First off, Dісk was not Jewish. He just grew up celebrating the holidays to a certain extent and going to synagogue with Bruce. At one point, he considered converting, but he ultimately decided not to.

Still, he chose to celebrate the less major holidays with Bruce, like Hannukah, and it was that time of year again!

What he didn't know, though, was that Bruce had finally joined a synagogue. And that synagogue held parties on the last night every year.

Bruce practically forced him to cоme. Dісk didn't really want to, it felt awkward being the only not Jewish person in a Jewish party, especially because they were lighting menorahs. Dісk didn't have a menorah!

He was sure it'd be fine, just kinda awkward.

At the synagogue, he poured himself a cup of grapejuice, a latke, and a small slice of challah before going to stand in the corner as Bruce went to chat with someone.

Then, he spotted someone who also looked just as out of place as him. Being the social person he was, he waved and approached you.

"Hey! How are ya? Uh, my name's Dісk," he introduced himself with a grin. He held out his hand for you to shake.
