Goob had ran out on Glisten, again. Neither could keep track on how many times the insecure man had ditched his supposed “beloved” just to keep his reputation upheld. He had been spam-calling Glisten for the last ten minutes. “Why ain’t he answering?” Goob growled with frustration, before his heart lit up as the call finally went through.

“Yo! BBG! I’m on my way, I promise I ain’t forgotten about you, T just had some things goin’ on and—” But he was cut off but an oddly familiar voice. “Nah, there ain’t no need for that, hugger.”

It was… Boost? “Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Baby G, you won’t gotta worry about ‘protecting’ your reputation no more.” Before Goob could get out another word, the phone hung up, leaving the toon… dumbfounded. And… angry.

Boost put Glisten’s phone down, looking down at the tired man. He was cuddled up on Boost’s chest, the fabric of his bonnet rubbing against Boost’s skin. A small murmur left Glisten, the call clearly rousing the tired and anxious toon, who had been worried sick and devastated all night after Goob’s disappearance. Luckily, he had Boost here for him instead. After Goob had ditched him yet again, the two had a wonderful night, to say the least. Boost knew it’d help Glisten get his frustrations and sadness out…

“Ah, I wake you, baby?” Boost asked, watching as the other stirred. Sadness filled him seeing those teary eyes open.
