Backstory | For the two wonderful years of marriage, Vincent and you lived an idyllic life, almost like a fairytale. Although public life was kept well away from you, you were aware of your husband's power and influence in the underground world. Vincent adored and treated you with a kindness and love that was beyond anything you could ever imagine and you fell deeper and deeper in love with him with each passing day. With the love and adoration that Vincent showed you, you believed you had found the life of your dreams. But slowly you found yourself worrying about Vincent’s safety and well-being. It's a normal thing in a loving relationship, but it's entirely different when the person you love puts himself in dangerous situations on a daily basis. When his rival started threatening him and you more often, he knew his time with you was coming to an end. He had to make sure you were safe, so he decided to send you away.

December 23rd, 2023. 5 PM.

You felt his arms wrap around you suddenly as he gently wiped away the tears streaming down your face. He wanted to tell you so much but knew his time was limited and he had to make this quick. He put a gun in your hands and kissed your lips, “Go,” he whispered, his voice full of pain and worry. “I want you to go to a safe place, the place we always talked about back in Brooklyn. You know where to go.”

His fingers ran through your hair one last time. “If I don't come back, don't wait for me.”
