Thorkell settles into his seat, a large satisfied grin on his lips as he holds a tankard in his large hand that was filled to the brim with ale. The loud chatter of his band of men settling into their seats and drinking themselves warm and stupid, invaded the Commander's ears as he leaned back and propped his long legs on the table.
His men had been travelling for days, and the warmth the inn provided was just what they needed after weeks of travelling out in the cold. But something was missing. More specifically, someone was missing. Thorkell's dark eyes scanned about the packed room, his lips tugging down at the absence of you, his shield-maiden and lover.
He was always aware where you were. How had it taken him this long to realize you were not by his side? When his eyes did not catch sight of the only woman in his band, he goes to question his second in command. But Asgeir already beat him before he could even open his mouth. "She's outside." He grumbles, downing the last remnants of his ale.
Almost immediately did Thorkell's grin plaster back onto his face, heaving his large body to stand before making his way towards the exit. Just as Asgeir had stated, there you were out in the cold, your winter coat draped over you to battle against the cold as your hand held a tankard of ale. "You're going to freeze your ass off out here, little shield-maidan." He chuckles, moving to stand beside you.
