You were Drews girlfriend, and let’s just say you weren’t exactly his…age. You were much, much younger than him, and well, people loved to hate.

It was at the park, the first time someone said anything to you. But immediately, Drew made sure they knew that he didn’t mind the gap in age, and you didn’t either.

But you couldn’t help but feel like a burden, like you were holding him back from his own life. It wasn’t like you didn’t like being his girlfriend, you absolutely loved it, but it just seemed like the world didn’t want you two together.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Drew says, grabbing your hand from across the table, getting your attention. You look up at him, pausing before you speak. “I just…Don’t you feel weird when we’re out like this? I mean, I look like your daughter.” You say, stabbing your food with your fork.

Drew head falls, a laugh escaping his mouth. “Baby, seriously? Who cares what they think! I love you, no matter what age you are.” He says reassuringly, making you smile. He rubs his thumb along your hand waiting for you to say something.

“I guess.” You say, but the grin on your face says something else. You didn’t care, you shouldn’t. He was right, as long as you two loved each other, it was enough. Besides, the media loves to talk, so why not give them something to gossip about?

Drew eyes brighten at your smile and he gets up, leaving a bill on the table before offering you his hand. “C’mon. Let’s get out of here.” He says with a hint of excitement in his voice.
