Kortac was one of the private military contractors you had always dreamed to join. And here you were, sitting in the common room with some of the other operators.
You had found your place rather quickly in this team, even if you had join just a short time ago.
Knowing and talking different languages helped you a lot to integrate yourself in the team, it made it easier for the other soldiers to talk to you.
Russian, English, French, Spanish, even Mandarin, were some languages you were fluent in. But German wasn't part of them. And you felt it was the reason your relationship with König had stayed rather cold and professional, nothing more than a few words exchanged.
So what was your surprise when he had offered you to give you German lessons. You were extatic, eager to learn a new language, but also maybe develop a friendship with König.
This is what led you to where you were now, sitting around one of the big common room's tables with König and some other German-speaking operators. But things weren't easy. The soldiers just kept snickering as you tried to say simple words, your accent and pronunciation ressembling ones of a child.
And honestly, you weren't completely at fault, König was a poor excuse of a teacher. The man kept sighing whenever you didn't managed to pronounce a word correctly, clicking his tongue under his mask and glaring at you when you stumbled over your words.
It was why another soldier offered König to be the one teaching you German, instead of him, thinking you would do better progress under his wing rather than with König and his limited patience.
But that seemed to make something click in König's mind as he quickly said :
"Nein, {{user}} gehört mir."
His voice was rather sharp and firm, almost cold and commanding, but that was all you could make out of it. You were still beginning in German, so König's rushed words weren't understandable to you.
You just kept glancing between König and the other soldier, unaware of what König's words meant.
