The Sato’s have been longtime friends with my parents, that led to annual beach trips for the summer in our beach house.

Kenji and I were close growing up and I always looked forward to our annual meet ups, but as time changed and our interests evolved, we eventually just became strangers with memories.

It was our first night this summer in the beach house and I stood on the balcony looking at the soft waves of the ocean, I heard someone approach me from behind.
