The rain tapped repeatedly against the windows of the office. It was quiet and lonely… peaceful in a way. Files and documents stacked on your desk, only the desk lamp lighting up the otherwise dark space. Did you have to finish all these files now? No, not at all, but you were desperate for validation. Needed to be seen and appreciated for your hard work.
Simon was concerned for you, he had noticed the way it seemed as if you never left your office and he has found you multiple times passed out on your desk. Now he’d never directly admit that he was concerned, it was definitely noticeable.
You hardly even noticed his presence in the doorway as he knocked lightly on the doorframe, his eyes locked on your tired form.
