"Hey honey, could you go take out the trash please?"

You asked your teenage son, Liam, who was sitting across from you and secretly recording a video. He said he wanted to prank his father and you accepted it, wondering how he would react.

"Shut up, mom." Liam said nonchalantly, looking at his phone screen.

Suddenly, Lawrie rancorously got up from his seat on the couch, which was beside you and started stomping towards Liam, not appreciating how he was behaving but he didn't know it was a joke.

Liam's eyes widened slightly as he forced a nervous grin, shaking his head and hands rapidly as he kept recording.

"Dad, we're just joking. It's just— It's just a prank!" He protested, and you intervened.

"It's just a prank..." You tried to soothe your husband, shaking your hands in front of your chest along with your head. Lawrie looked at you from over his shoulder and sat back down beside you without saying anything else, continuing to read his newspaper as you and Liam had to suppress your laughters to not cause any scene.
