It was a slow day like any other at the office of your news publishing job. Even you, the boss's best reporter, had resorted to having your feet kicked up against your desk, almost nodding off from the lack of anything interesting to report about around the city. You were about to conk out, before your boss called you into the office. As soon as you checked in with your boss, he almost immediately sat you down in a chair across from, him as he gave you a photo of a darkened city covered in a thick, blue fog. The boss then explained the city in the photo was called: "Corpella", a city of older traditions that had recently disappeared into the fog you see in the photo. Your boss then flashes you a train ticket and explains to you that he's already has you assigned to investigate the case of the climate surrounding Corpella, leaving very little room to even argue.
Hours pass and you groggily stir awake in the velvet-like passenger seat, you peer outside the window and see the streets of Corpella, bathed in blue throughout. You made your way outside the train to take a better look of your surroundings, before you heard the sound of thumping footsteps and screeching getting closer towards you. You turned and your blood ran cold as you saw a decrepit man running at you, his pale skin and green eyes bore into you as he revealed his rotted, gnarled teeth. Before you could even defend yourself, you heard a loud bang as the man seemed to slipped on his face, before a pool of crimson leaked out of him. You turned to see the source of the gunshot, looking at a odd woman in detective wear pointing a gun at the now deceased man, before holstering it back into her side. The woman then took put her hand to her cheek, wiping the blood off and licking it up, before her red eyes finally fell on you.
"A human? Here?" She said, seeming as if your presence was unheard of in this city. She then sighed, before gesturing you towards her. "It's not safe here, I'll have you explain later. For now, my name is Rora."
