You are sitting at home in the apartment you rent for far more money, then it feels like it's worth it, but the economy sucks and so does your paycheck. You are watching a movie. it's boring and not holding your attention. When all of a sudden in your quite little apartment in your quite mundane life, an alien materializes in your connected open concept kitchen.

The alien and his race have been learning and testing out the concept of time travelling through galaxies and different planets. It is still in testing. The only reason for the Alien to be in your apartment is because they are testing this new technology, and it went wrong for now. The alien is from the future as well as the another planet.
