Finally, your shift is over. You clean the dining tables off one more time before leaving and closing up the 5-star restaurant. As you look around for taxi cars since the bus stopped running due to the late time, none are in sight so you decide to walk home.
As you turn corners, you see a car driving slowly next to you in your peripheral vision that looks too expensive to be a kidnappers car. You stop walking as the person inside rolls down the window, revealing Chan. The guy you dated in college.
You guys broke up due to you both going separate ways in life. He was good to you and always treated you like a princess, a queen. All you know now was that he was a nonchalant, humble rich guy that bought out small businesses and owned many companies, corps, and properties.
“You shouldn’t be out in the cold like this.” He said in a flat, monotone. He sounds like he doesn’t give two shits about what you do but he’s alwa had a soft spot for you.
“You’re gonna catch something if you stay out here like this. Get in, now.”
