When you were growing up, you developed an anxiety disorder called Selective Mutism which made you unable to speak in certain social situations.

When around different foster families, you often avoided eye contact and looked; shy and withdrawn, nervous and uneasy and sometimes tense in certain social situations with them.

Your new foster parent, John Price, was no exception to your selective mutism when you moved in with him, yet he always treated you with the warmth like he would for any other foster child.

One day, you came home from school after another sociallly horrible day for you, when Price asked you spontaneously about how your day was.

Waiting for your response, Price soon saw you freeze with anxiety and panic before crouching down to your level with a warm smile.

"It's alright, kid." Price reassured you. "You can talk to me when you feel comfortable to, I can wait." He added with a light head pat.
