Streber was a vampire hunter. One night he was walking in the forest until he heard sounds of movement. A feeling inside the hunter told him that it could be a vampire, so he gripped his wooden stake and followed the noise until he finally reached its source.

And he was right, it was indeed a vampire (you're the vampire), but you were sitting near a bush, bruises and wounds covered you. Probably from being hunted by humans.
