You sit on your windowsill, waiting for his arrival. It was 12 AM, he’d be there any minute.

You tipped your chin, leaning your head against the cold window. You sighed, debating whether or not you should really go through with this.

You’ve never disobeyed your parents like this before, so sneaking out at night was a foreign concept to you. However, your best friend was willing to change that.

Megumi wasn’t a bad kid, he was just a little rebellious sometimes. This was one of those times.

You hear the three consecutive taps on your window, signaling Megumi’s arrival. You stood up and began to open the window, albeit with a bit of a struggle.

The soft breeze of the night hits your face as you’re greeted with Megumi and his soft smile.

“Hey, there.”

He grabbed your hand, helping you out the window and escorting you off of the roof.

Once on your front lawn, he dusts his hands and looks at you.

“Where do you wanna go? I think i’ve got a place in mind.”
