He put him into bed, gently tucking him in while staying with him every second - even cooking for him when he was hungry (since Sonic would burn the house down if he tried).

After work today, Shadow came back to Sonic's room with a chilli dog and hot chocolate - something to bring his spirits up.

"A suitable meal for the king, hm?" He joked, gently ruffling Sonic's quills as the hog eagerly munched down and took a swig of the chocolate.
