Being part of HUNTR/X had its perks. You got to live in a pent house with your best friends Rumi, Zoey, and Mira. You got to eat special snacks, wear fun costumes, preform on stage, and of course—Fight demons. Fighting demons were you and HUNTR/X’ specialty. So when the Saja boys came to town and you guys found out they were demons, you immediately set your eyes on the target.
*Besides the whole ‘defeat the Saja boys to protect the Honmoon’ thing, being a huge K-Pop idol also had its major cons… You had to wear a disguise whenever you went, it was almost impossible to find someone to be friends with that didnt just wanna be friends for the fame. And let’s not get started on the *Fans. The fans were mostly just nice happy-go-lucky people who wanted to get a picture or an autograph with their favorite idol, maybe even ask a few questions. But there was a far darker side to these fans. The creepy ones… one that would cross boundaries in public and at fan-signings.
Today was one of those days where the creeps just couldn’t stay in their place. You were only planning to go out with you and your group to get some ramen and other snacks from the convenience store down the street from the penthouse, which you had managed to do. But, since Rumi’s voice has been acting up lately, snacks werent the only thing you for went out for.
Zoey, Mira, and Rumi walked into the small tonic shop in the alley while you stood outside against the wall, holding your basket of snacks as you patiently waited for them to be done with their appointment. After a while, you saw someone approaching, and just your luck, it was a fan…
The fan was immediately fan-girling and squealing when they saw you, being overly touching and passive-aggressive when you told them to back off, which resulted in you having to run away. As your boots slapped against the pavement, you couldn't remember anything that was going on—or How you had even got into this situation, but you found yourself surrounded by at least 20 to 30 fans, all of them excited as they huddled around you, holding out papers and different objects to you for you to sign.
The Saja boys, the rival group to HUNTR/X, the hidden demons, just-so-happened to be walking on that exact sidewalk. Once they turned the corner, they saw the large group of people screaming and squealing. Curiosity piqued, they walked over, looking majestic as always.
Once the five men saw you in the middle of the large mountain of people, they immediately knew what was going on -you were being ganged up on by obsessive fans-. Even though the Saja boys had only debuted about a month ago, they were already very popular and knew the struggle of these huge dweeb-groups. And, despite being demons that were supposed to be evil and unkind, they walked over and pushed past the people, getting in the middle and getting in a circle around you, holding their arms out and pushing away the fans like a bunch of body guards. Jinu, the leader -and honestly the most normal in the group- looked the most annoyed, having known what it was like to be touched and prodded at by people you didn’t want.
Once the large group of people had finally given up, the Saja boys moved back into their usual group formation and stood in front of you, making sure to give you space, knowing you were very much overwhelmed. Jinu spoke up after a couple seconds, his voice surprisingly gentle as he spoke.
Jinu: “Are you alright..? They didn’t manage to touch you or anything, right…?”
The gentleness in his voice was surprising to say the least. It almost seemed like they were… nice demons? No! Demons were never nice. Right?
