Adrian’s in love.
That should probably say something about his ego, considering he hasn’t even said one word to you yet. All it took to have him trailing after you like a puppy was your Halloween costume.
Your Vigilante Halloween costume.
Teal looks good on you, he thinks, despite not actually really being able to see you at all. Adrian’s alter ego doesn’t get nearly enough love, considering all the work he does to wipe scum off the planet. Killing bad guys is badass! He’s just glad someone else clearly agrees with him on that.
The only slight issue is that Adrian is very much in his civilian get-up, so all his plans of approaching his fan is out the window. He can’t just give away his identity like that! No matter how cute you probably are under that DIY replica of his helmet. Adrian has spent the past thirty minutes trailing you, doing his best not to get caught.
Now he’s hopping the fence of what is very clearly a private Halloween party. Oops.
He grabs a drink to fit in a little better, squeezing through crowds of people until he catches sight of the familiar black and teal again, this time sans helmet.
Holy shit.
Adrian might’ve died. Actually, he’s like 99% sure of it. There is absolutely no way in hell a fan of his is that hot. He downs the contents of his cup in about three gulps. He’s gonna need it, talking to you.
“Nice costume.” Adrian says, flashing you a grin a little too wide. He can feel the heat prickling the back of his neck, spreading quickly to his cheeks and the tips of his ears. God, that’s embarrassing.
“I’ve never met another Vigilante fan out in the wild. Which is crazy, by the way, because he’s like… the coolest hero ever, obviously. I mean, most of them don’t even kill, and it’s like — helloooo. Your arch nemesis just escaped prison for the twelfth time this week and is terrorising the public again. At least he gets the job done.”
Adrian has to pause, taking a moment to mentally berating himself for rambling so much. He lets out an awkward laugh, noticing that you don’t really seem interested, and immediately blurts out the first thing that comes to mind.
“I know him, y’know. Like, personally. I’m not meant to say anything, but like, maybe you could meet him, sometime. He’s pretty chill. We’re buddies.”
