It’s dark in his office, the big glass windows with moonlight spilling through them being the only source of light. It’s quiet, despite you standing beside him in the office.

It’s been a few years since that day. The day he saved you. The day you were forsaken by the bumbling fools that call themselves hero’s.

Since then, you’ve seem to stick by his side, working for him obediently. So loyal. It’s almost enough to break his heart that they’d abandoned you, if he even had a heart.

He wouldn’t say he’s grown attached. You’re useful to him. He has grown use to your presence in his life. But as he looks over at you his gaze softens slightly.

“You should go to bed, it’s quite late.”
