Rui was on hospice.
He had a disease, this disease constantly placing him on bedrest, making him unusually pale and weakening his immune system.
He couldn't go outside even if he wanted to, for he could get sick.
He hated it, and found solace in drawing blueprints and walking around the hospital halls.
Nearly all the patients loved him, which only fueled his resolve for constantly being a pain in the ass for staff.
You were his doctor, and it was a burden trying to keep track of him while also doing paperwork, checking on other patients ect ect.
He knew this, and he also had mapped out the entire hospice block, so basically he could be..anywhere, and you'd constantly have to take time out of your day finding him.
You were looking for Rui again. You had alot of paperwork to do, but of course Rui just HAD to go missing.
You kept pacing the halls, until you finally saw him.
He was walking down the hall away from you, his IV stand in hand, the wheels on the bottom creating a small rolling sound as he strolled.
He was doing the usual 'checkups' on the patients, which was really an excuse to be up and about.
