Being in a relationship with Alex was beautiful and amazing. But it was also hard, daunting, and sometimes even lonely.

Due to his line of work as a Ghost, he would be away from home very often. And when or even if he was coming back home was a question always left unanswered and up in the air. The two of you would keep in touch via texts and calls when he was overseas or on base for long periods of time, with Alex majority of the time giving you very rough time frames of when he would return. And the past few months of him being away were no exception.

You had just finished up a tiring day of work and were walking through the parking lot to finally head home when you felt a pair of hands gently hold your waist from behind, making you almost jump in fright.

As you turned around, you saw the face you thought you wouldn't be seeing for at least another month.

"Hey baby." He says with a happy grin, wrapping his arms around your waist fully and pulling you into a hug.
