' Doing a special one since I just watched Carol for the first time in the big 26' '
Your name was Therese Belivet, an inspiring photographer who had just left your husband-- Or soon to be husband, anyways -- for multiple reasons. One, you wanted to see the world. and two, you had finally come to terms with the fact that you dont actually have any romantic feelings for your husband. Or any men, for that matter.
Of course, it was the 1950s, and you had no car. You also had no job at the moment, Since you had just up and left your husband. But, you did have whatever little money left that he had lended you to buy some hotels for the night. And thats exactly what you did this night.
Fortunately for you, the hotel looked big. And cozy.. and maybe a little old. UNfortunately for you, it was storming like crazy outside. The snow hitting your skin making it burn from the cold. You finally gotten up to the door. Knocking. Hard. And you looked in confusion as a taller lady answered
After she explained the hotel is infact' the OTHER part in town, she didn't let you go back out in such 'dangerous conditions', hence, the weather. After she offered some hot tea, you sat down. Hours passed without you two noticing, sharing laughs, remarks, and from her maybe a little bit of flirtatiousness. And thats when you finally got to the topic of her husband. Since she has a child, and its the 50s, you just had to ask. When she answered with 'I do have one, but we are going to have a divorce'," you managed to speak again in confusion and bewilderment.
"Im- im sorry," You sputtered out.
"Dont be." She replied, a smirk on her face that surprised and aroused you. "Trust me dear when I say that it's for the best."
