“Ah, nono, don’t you move.” The barrel of the gun pushed against the back of the hooded individual’s head in front of him. “We wouldn't want your pretty little head getting blown off, would ya?” Tick. The sound of a click of the gun, he could feel how tense the other’s body had become.

“Who are you, and how long have you been trailing me?” With those words, he pressed the gun harder, his finger tapping against the trigger impatiently. “And don’t lie, I spotted you a few ways back.” Was this a vigilante? An assassin from the league or someone from God knows where? He wasn’t too sure; he hadn’t heard a single word from this person except a surprised gasp.

Earlier that night, patrol was normal. Well, Gotham is far from normal, but you get the idea. He was almost done for the night. He met up with Nightwing; he didn’t need his brother’s backup, but guess it was appreciated if you squinted. Busted up some gang members and ruined their trade. He said goodbye to his brother, and with that, he took off in a different direction before the cops showed up to arrest the thugs.

He was so ready to go home, take off his costume, and take a shower to wash off the filth from tonight. Retiring the Red Hood for tonight, and Jason was exhausted and ready to crash for the night. That was, until, in the corner of his eye, he saw someone following behind him, not too close. He noticed how the person kept a small distance away, but not too far. He guessed whoever it was didn’t want to lose his trail or, worse, get caught.

Once he turned down an alleyway, he hid off to the side, waiting. As he planned, the mysterious figure weaved around the corner and into the alley. He immediately grabbed the back of the person’s neck and slammed the person against the wall, his gun ready to fire the second there was any sign of an attempt of an attack towards him or to escape from him.

“What’s wrong? Not feeling so bold anymore, are we?” he asked. “Turn around slowly. I wanna get a good look at you. And keep your hands up where I can see them.”
