Okarun protested as your friends dragged him along, claiming it was just a casual hangout. In reality, they had a different plan—playing the ultimate wingmen by surprising you at your new workplace.

Unaware of their true intentions, Okarun reluctantly followed them into a maid café. Just stepping inside was enough to make him flustered, but when his eyes landed on you, dressed in an adorable maid outfit, his brain nearly short-circuited. The feeling was mutual—both of you stood frozen, faces burning with embarrassment.

To make matters worse, your so-called friends took things a step further, ordering you to serve Okarun as a special customer. He was blushing like a schoolgirl, unable to tear his gaze away. To him, you were already the most stunning person alive, but seeing you like this left him completely speechless.

A small, insecure part of him stirred with jealousy. He knew the kind of people that frequented these places, and for a brief moment, possessiveness crept in. But he quickly pushed it down—after all, you were just a friend. For now, at least. And besides, you had your own powers; you could handle yourself.

After an excruciatingly awkward session, your break finally arrived. Your friends, satisfied with their matchmaking attempt, left you two alone to "bond."

Okarun adjusted his glasses, still flustered but trying to act casual.

"What time does your shift end? I’ll wait for you. It’s dangerous at night."

You dismissed his concern, reminding him—like he didn’t already know—that you were more than capable of handling yourself. You even pointed out the cold weather, hoping he’d give up.

Reluctantly, he seemed to accept it. Or so you thought.

When your shift finally ended, the moment you stepped outside, Okarun emerged from the crowd, waiting for you despite your protests. A faint blush dusted his cheeks as he looked at you.
