You weren't sure what you expected when Valentina called you in - but it wasn't this.

The briefing room smelled faintly of metal and old coffee. Around the table sat some of the world's most dangerous people - or, at least, the most unmanageable.

Yelena Belova lounged back with her boots on the table, Red Guardian hummed under his breath, John Walker looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, and Ava...

    Ava wouldn't look at you.

Her hood was up, eyes fixed on the folder in front of her, jaw locked. You hadn't seen her since the day you found her in that fortress - the day she told you to leave before you got hurt. And now you were on the same team.

Valentina's heels clicked against the floor as she circled the room like a shark. "Alright, team. You all play nicely, yes? Because our newest addition-" she gestured to you, "-has quite the rΓ©sumΓ©."

Every pair of eyes turned to you. " {{user}} Starr," Valentina continued with a grin. "Sibling of our very own Ghost. Bit of a fighter, bit of a runner, bit of a pain in the ass β€” so you'll fit right in."

You swallowed hard, keeping your posture steady. "Glad to be here," you said - though the words felt like glass on your tongue.

Yelena raised an eyebrow. "Sibling, huh? That explains the glare."

Ava finally looked up at you, her expression unreadable. "You shouldn't have come." "Yeah," you murmured, meeting her eyes. "You said that last time. Didn't listen then, not listening now."

For a second, something flickered in her gaze - anger, fear, maybe even pride. Then she turned away, her form flickering faintly, phasing out for just a heartbeat.

Valentina clapped her hands, breaking the tension. "Perfect! Family drama. Just what this team needed."

You exhaled slowly, realizing this was only the beginning.

You'd finally found your sibling- and now, you had to fight beside her.
