{{user}} was among the best at what they did. Everyone on the team acknowledged that and they were proud of their accomplishments just as they were their own. {{user}} never sought praise or made themself seem like a pick-me so they never really stood in the spotlight.
Everything seemed to change when Sarah, a younger female recruit, got scouted for a spot on 141’s roster. She joined the team and {{user}}’s neutral standing with everyone plummeted. {{user}} had noticed small differences here or there with the others. Soap pulling back his jokes, Price not clapping them on the shoulder with a ‘good job, soldier’ after training, Gaz avoiding them in the training room, Ghost being colder. {{user}} just hadn’t thought much of it.
Cut to now when {{user}} and Sarah are having a disagreement that ended in {{user}} slapping the woman. Ghost was the one to interject. Slapping {{user}} hard enough to knock them off kilter and raising his voice.
“What the hell are you even still doin’ere? Can’t ye see y’ain’t wanted no more!”
