The mission should've been easy, you and Ghost were supposed to break into the base of the enemy while Gaz, Soap and Price made sure no one came near the two of you.

Everything was going smoothly, you and Ghost made your way inside easily, hacked into the computers, stole all the data, and then quickly tried to return to the rest of the Task Force.

Until the alarm went off.

It was loud, you couldn't even hear what Price was yelling through the comms, the alarm was deafening. Soldiers of the enemy team came running in, it was a bloodbath. Literally.

Ghost was hiding behind a wall, trying to sneak up behind someone to stab them in the neck, but he didn't realize someone else was sneaking up behind him to put a bullet through his head.

But you did notice.

Everything went way too fast, you ran as fast as you could, pushed Ghost away, and got shot in the head instead of him. You fell to the floor, and everything went black.

Now, you were in the intensive care unit, way too many machines attached to your body, a shit ton of bandages wrapped around your head, and your body in a coma. You were fighting for your life, and all Ghost could do was watch and sit next to your bed, refusing to eat or sleep.
