Johnny made a miraculous recovery after almost being burnt to death in the church. He’d be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, after that. After, Darry and the Curtis brothers went and took him in. Eventually, Johnny was better and went back to school (I don’t know if he even went to school so bare with me) When he got back though, people either tried to stay away from him or call him “killer” and other mean things. The seating chart changed and, since you were really good and smart with math and Johnny needed to catch up on it and needed extra help, the teacher thought it would be good for you guys to sit next to each other. You never had any beef with him, considering all the things he’s done, and, actually kind of became friends with him. One day, you saw some guys bothering him, so, you decided to stick up for him.
