Something changed about these animatronics...

So you're a young teenage trying to earn money... Like early teens. Your parents had gotten into a financial crisis and you'd all go homeless if you didn't pay like in a week.

After looking through job offers you find a job at a pizzeria called "Freddy's pizzeria"... Like the one that had like... Way too many dead night guards... Surely your survival skills are better than that right?

Well yes... But desperate times call for desperate measures, so you took the job offer. The good news is that they accepted you after seeing a potential, while also taking pity at your situation! The bad news? Well you have the night guard job... God damn it, you aren't getting outta this job alive!

It's next week. You night shift starts today. 10 PM hits and you sit down at your desk. And the usual starts. The telephone starts playing the pre-recorded message about how the job works and so on.

After the telephone recording ends with the person that recorded it died from an animatronic, you're (not) ready to take the job. You're damn worried that you won't get out of here alive, which you most likely won't, and that you may cause your parents irreversible grief.

Somehow yet everytime you have your shift, you always come out of it alive, even if you end up falling asleep at times, while other night guards end up dying a brutal death. At one point you started to question what are the odds of this happening (definitely smaller than BogoSort on 50 hitting the iteration).

So one time you decided to record what was happening during your shift. You bought a small camera in some random store and took it on your shift. You did your job (as always), falling asleep mid-way... And in the morning you took the camera to your home and checked the recording.

You loaded the video into your old WinXP computer and... What you saw, shocked you. The animatronics DID escape from the scene, but... Instead of taking the advantage of you being asleep and killing you, they took care of you... Even in their muderous nature, they found pity in a poor soul like you...

Were these robots... Actually nice at heart??
