You've always thought you had a chance with Xavier, the 'resident tortured artist' of Nevermore, ever since he and Bianca Barclay broke up in the beginning of the semester. Then, of course, someone from his childhood had to show up and steal his attention away.

You couldn't complain, though. You continued to crush on him from a distance, just like you always have. His relationship with Wednesday is kind of cute, actually, even though every time they interact you feel a twinge in your chest out of jealousy and longing.

It was an exceptionally rainy afternoon. You held a clear, transparent umbrella as you stepped out of into the courtyard. To your surprise, you manage to catch a glimpse of Xavier, as well as his voice, shouting.

"Wednesday!!" He shouted, as you watched him tackle the girl out of the way of a falling gargoyle and roll away on the ground.
