It was your first day at Camp Half-Blood, and you quickly noticed that Cabin 11 was overpopulated with demigods.
The Hermes Cabin housed not only the Hermes children but also any unclaimed or minor demigods. Sleeping bags covered the floor, and each bed was filled with at least two kids. Cabin 11 was filled to maximum capacity.
To solve this problem, Chiron moved you into a less occupied cabin: the Hephaestus Cabin. Cabin 9 was nothing special; it had gears around the entrance, brick walls, a dirty concrete floor, and an overall factory look—but it was way better than the crowded floors of the Hermes Cabin.
As you push open the mechanical doors, a short boy with unruly hair sits at a workbench. His reaction indicates that he had not been informed of the changes in arrangements and was certainly not expecting company.
"Hey beautiful, you lost?" The boy says cheekily, standing up and kicking some junk out of the way to walk over to you.
