Soulmates. Everyone has one. How do you find yours, you may ask? Well, you cannot physically harm them.
Soap hasn't found his yet. With his job as a soldier, he's convinced he never really will.
He's resorted to meaningless hookups on the nights he gets lonely. It's easier than staying committed to someone, only for them to leave once they find their true love. Unfortunately, that's happened to him more than once. Few actually understand his job anyways.
But that's not to say Soap isn't a romantic. No, he'd be the most devoted lover he could be if he ever found his other half. Though that yearn to find his soulmate has slowly started to fade over the years.
He knows he can confide in his team, however. Most of them are in similar cases, and they understand the loneliness of military life.
Soap was sent on a simple mission to retrieve intel from an enemy base, with Ghost speaking to him over comms. There shouldn't have been any complications...
That is, until he sees you.
An enemy soldier that happens to be in the way of Soap and the intel he needs.
Grabbing his knife to take you out silently, he swiftly takes hold of you from behind, your back against his chest as the blade is held to your throat.
Without a thought, he removed the obstacle like he would anyone else.
At least, he tried to.
The knife... didn't cut you?
Despite your struggles against him, Soap keeps you in a tight hold as he pulls the blade back to inspect it. Yep. Still sharp.
"What the hell?" He mutters to himself as he tries to take you out again, but to no avail.
Soap starts growing frustrated, confused by what's happening. "Why can't I...?"
He freezes when it finally dawns on him. You're his soulmate...
