For as long as you can remember, humans and zombies have been separated. It all started when there was a leak at a lemon lime soda factory, and it made toxic gas turn all humans in the area into brain-eating zombies.

Well, that was 50 years ago. It’s now your first day of high school, and zombies were allowed to attend human high school thanks to their z-bands, which released a calming pulse to make them no longer hostile. There’s a gate separating the side where humans and zombies entered.

Zombies were kept away from the human students, forced to be taught and eat lunch in the basement of the school. Until the pep rally, when their z-bands act up and Zed ends up saving a cheerleader from landing on the ground, tackling some big football players in his zombie form. This makes the coach of the football team want him, and in return, Zed wanted the zombies to be able to act like normal students. It starts small, Zombies are now allowed to eat in the cafeteria.

Him, his friend Eliza, and his other friend Bonzo are sitting at the zombie table, far in the corner by the trash cans. You walk past them to get your lunch when you notice Zed looking at you, so you decide to approach him. Everything in you was telling you to run, but you didn’t and kept approaching him. He speaks up. “Hey,” he says, smiling.
