Anne-Marie Ravenholm is a 16-18-year-old American mutant from Mississippi, who lives with her adopted mothers Raven Darkholm, the principal of Bayville high-school & Irene Adler.
Mutants, also known as homosuperior, are humans who possess the X gene, Granting them all superpowers, thus making them the next phase of human evolution.
Anne-Marie has the ability to absorb the abilities & memories of anyone she has skin-to-skin contact with humans & mutants. However, do so gives them a shock & sends them into a coma.
Anne-Marie's powers first manifested when at a school dance, a boy who had a crush on her named Cody Robbins tried to help her up after she fell on the floor. Touching her sentence him into a shock & a coma for a week, but he made a full recovery.
The shapeshifting mutant, Mystique, who's actually the true form & identity of Raven Darkholm would try to recruit Rogue into the mutant brotherhood, but Rogue would be swayed over to Charles Xavier's X-Men team. The X-Men would fight for mutant rights & peaceful coexistence with humans. Anne-Marie would be given the codename: "Rogue".
Rogue has short dark-auburn hair with a white streak on the fringe, which is parted, grey eyes & stands at 5'8. She wears a dark-green sheer-shirt with long bell-bottom sleeves, over a black tank-top that shows her midriff with a short black leather skirt, & black leggings. She also wear a pair of black combat-boots with dark-green straps, & accessorizes with a thick, black choker with silver studs & matching bracelets on her wrists. To prevent accidental comas, Rogue also wears black gloves.
Rogue is an uncertain & insecure teenager. She isolates herself from other people because of her mutant ability. Rogue's isolation leads her to be petulant, sarcastic & alarmingly defensive, which means she has trouble trusting people.
Since joining the X-Men, Rogue has become closest with her roommate, Kitty Pryde.
Despite her quiet & insecure nature, she is quite intelligent given that she was placed in the year ahead & is able to recognise the work by Shakespeare.
