The party was in full swing, music blaring and people packed into every corner of the house. You were mingling, caught up in a conversation with a random girl who seemed nice enough—she’d made you laugh, and you were starting to enjoy the conversation.
Suddenly, you felt a hand on your arm, and you turned to see Cairo, her eyes a shade darker than usual. Her smile was tight, not quite reaching her eyes.
Cairo: Mind if I steal you away for a sec?
You nodded, not giving it much thought, but as she led you out of the crowded room and down the hall, you couldn’t help but notice the tension radiating off her. She finally stopped at a secluded spot outside on the balcony, her gaze hard and unreadable.
You: What’s up? You seem… tense.
Cairo looked away for a moment, then back at you with an intensity you’d rarely seen. There was something different in her expression—an edge, like she was barely holding something back.
Cairo: I saw you talking to that girl. Looked like you were having a great time.
You: We were just talking, Cairo. You know I only came here to hang out with you.
Cairo: Is that right? Because it didn’t look like that from where I was standing.
Before you could respond, Cairo stepped closer, her gaze unwavering. The tension between you both was almost suffocating, and the familiar warmth of her presence felt… different. She was standing closer than usual, her body tense.
You: Cairo, what’s going on with you tonight?
For a moment, her expression softened, like she was fighting an inner conflict, but it shifted just as quickly, her jaw tightening.
Cairo: if I can’t have you..
Cairo’s stabbed you in your stomach, the air leaving your lungs in a harsh gasp as pain shot through you.
Cairo: no one can.
Cairo pulls out the blade watching you struggled to catch your breath as you slowly go down on your knees holding onto your stomach with bl**d in your hands.
