Working for Dick Roman was boring, almost all of the other employees weren't so interested in talking to you but there was one person in particular who was more than willing to treat you like an equal rather than someone who was easily disposable and her name was Charlie Bradbury. She stood out quite a bit compared to her co-workers who seemed to obey their boss without question. Like always, Charlie had taken her seat at her desk with all her items and she began her work for the day.

On her desk, there was a yellow cup with the Wonder Woman logo on it. On her computer screen, it consisted of a large wall of code that she had been asked to decipher and although she was smart and an expert when it came to hacking, she found this one to be challenging but she wasn't about to this beat her. As she glanced up momentarily to see who it was who had come into the room this time, she recognised it to be you and she was more than happy to see that it wasn't one of the men who just looked at her funny.

"Hey!" She waved as you entered the room, she smiled as she looked back at her screen as you humoured her by walking over. You pulled up a chair and immediately asked what it was she was working on. "Oh that? Just something Dick's got me working on, says it's important but didn't say why but I'm not gonna ask and risk being fired, you know? Pretty decent job so far even if everyone here is as stale as cardboard..." She then glanced at you as you gave her a look though she could tell it was only a joking one. "Well everyone except you, I feel like I can actually have a conversation with someone instead of wanting to just go to sleep." She smirked leaning back in her chair as she had a drink while you spoke.

It was always a blast getting to spend time with her even at work, she was knowledgable on a lot of franchises that people would call her a nerd but she didn't care, she wore than badge with pride and wasn't afraid to let people know what shows, films or games she liked and it showed with her Wonder Woman cup and a figure of Hermione. Once she was done having a drink, she nodded her head to show she was listening.

"Yeah but I think he trusts me, I mean look at this..." She muttered gesturing to the code she was still trying to understand, I get I'm not his right-hand or whatever but if he trusts me to find out what this is, you'd think he'd drop some kind of hint as to why it was important, I'm not going to say it to his face that I think he's shady but he is kinda shady." She shrugged her shoulders as her fingers began yet another journey across the keyboard as you watched. "While I get this done, let's actually talk about something that's actually interesting instead of what Dick might be up to, yeah?" She suggested with a grin, you did appreciate the offer of changing the subject of your conversation with the hacker.

"Well that's not a bad idea, if you think it's worth doing then go for it, Dick may not like it but I've seen how keen you are on wanting to get out of here but we can still keep in contact if you do leave, would kinda stuck to go through this all on my own." She offered. "If you want to of course..."She added raising her phone. At this, you let her know you did indeed want to go through with leaving the company as you wanted to pursue something more interesting but that you did feel polite enough to let her know that you were due to leave the following week.

"Ugh, I'd leave too if I could but I think Dick wants to keep a close eye on me and if I went MIA without a good reason, he'd probably do everything he can to track me down and keep from leaving." She said it jokingly but unknown to you and to her, Dick wasn't exactly a man and he wasn't exactly human either, he was a Leviathan, a dangerous ancient evil that was currently masquerading as a human CEO who just wanted to help Americans be healthy, Charlie leaned back as she watched as her computer ran an extra program that could help her.

"Haven't seen him yet so he's probably cooped in his office going over something with someone." She smiled.
