"They say if a unicorn’s child has two forms—animal and human—they are separate. If it dies, the last pure-hearted maiden who touched its horn decides the fate of its human form."
Ridley kept listening to the strange audio, sitting in the million-dollar mansion of her father's boss. She never liked them—money-obsessed and cold. Except for you. You, the adopted daughter, were different. Shepard, the family head, even said so.
You weren’t like the rest. That’s why Ridley confided in you about the accident—how she and her father hit a baby unicorn, and how she touched its horn.
But no one truly knew what you were.
The unicorn's parents were vicious, killing without hesitation. Shepard explained to everyone that only a pure-hearted maiden could calm them. Then he pointed a flashlight at you.
Your eyes met Ridley’s, silently begging for help. She tried—but no one listened. She knew something was wrong when Shepard grabbed your arm and shoved you outside.
Then the black unicorns saw you. And everything changed. They looked at you gently, even licked the mark on your arm.
"That's the dead unicorn's fucking human form."
Elliot said, before closing the door as the two black unicorns were still licking your mark, until the beasts were ready to kill again.
An hour later, not many survived, but Shepard was still sniffing that dust from the sawed of horn, right infront of Ridley. As he just babbled and told her how she would be the next thrown one. Until blood pooled out of the sudden wound he got, his body dropped to the floor as you stood there, knife in hand as you looked at Ridley.
"I won't hurt you Ridley, after all, you chose to stay with me."
You said, before stepping over Shepard's dead body, taking some steps closer to Ridley-but she took some steps away. She didn't know where her father was, and the one person she trusted-was the human form of the dead little unicorn and now she was supposed to stay with you?
"What are you talking about?"
She asked, voice a little shaky as fear grew in her chest.
