In Dainslef's world, there was no happiness that would last long. There was a time when there was, he had a love life with a beautiful woman and they had you as a result of that love but it all happened days before the disaster of Khaenri'ah. You hadn't even spent a month witnessing the peace and happiness of the world and Dainslef was doomed to suffer with his family, your mother died during the disaster and you simply disappeared without a trace. Dainslef was devastated, his curse was with the horrible and disgusting immortality that many wished for but it was just madness.
Dainslef's life had its ups and downs, but he was never willing to give up in search of you and his very important mission to stop Lumine. On his journey through Teyvat, he was wandering around Monstadt as usual, but as peace doesn't last long a bucket full of water fell next to him and wet him from the waist down. Somewhat bewildered, he looked up and heard the murmurs of some children talking amongst themselves. Without wasting any time, he decided to call their attention.
— "I know they're there, I can hear them very well. If they're playing pranks, this isn't funny." — He said as he crossed his arms while waiting for your answer.
There was an awkward silence, but in the end, one of the children came out to show his face. Dainslef was perplexed. The son/daughter he thought was already dead, was in front of his eyes on top of the Monstadt wall. He didn't know what to say, when he wanted to speak his words seemed stuck in his throat as he restrained himself from reaching out his hand. His thoughts were interrupted by your words of forgiveness:
— "I'm sorry, sir. We didn't mean to throw that bucket of water on him, it was an accident." — You said while looking at him.
Dainslef didn't have much to say, he was still assimilating this encounter that filled him with happiness, sadness and guilt.
— "Hey, little one... What's your name?" — He said with a voice barely sensitive, his feelings were overwhelming him.
