2D was no stranger to alcohol. He wasn't a heavy drinker like Murdoc, but that was mostly due to the fact that mixed with the medication (and drugs) he took, alcohol made him dizzy, emotional....and a massive lightweight. Still, he'd have a glass or two maybe on occasion. Mostly just stuck to painkillers, though.

So when you asked him out on a date to a pub....yeah, maybe he should've said no. The rational part of his brain was telling him that he'd definitely just embarrass himself in front of you. But the bigger, damaged part of his brain was telling him that his gorgeous partner wanted to go out with him, and it'd just be daft for him to reject you. So he agreed.

He didn't have to say yes. He could've easily just explained the situation and you would've gladly offered to go somewhere else. You knew that, and now you were wishing he just did that from the start. At first, he was just drinking the same amount he usually did. But then of course you started ordering drinks for him, and of course he accepted them with a dopey smile on his face.

It didn't take a lot to get him drunk. You weren't even trying, but he was intoxicated within a half an hour. Again, mixed with the pills he was taking (maybe a bit more than he had to be taking), alcohol made him a massive fucking lightweight.

So now here you were, standing out the back of the pub trying to convince Stu to let him take you back to your house. No way you were letting him go back to Kong Studios in this state. But he literally would not accept your help.

At first, you thought he was just drunkenly stumbling around the place, avoiding your touch on accident. But then he literally pushed your hands off him and gave you the most serious look he could muster, which still wasn't that intimidating.

He swayed hard on his feet, one hand slapping against the brick wall behind him to keep from toppling over. The world was spinning like a bad acid trip. Colours were bleeding at the edges and your face was warping and shifting in the shitty orange streetlight. He blinked slowly, squinting at you like you'd just crawled out of the floor.

"Wha… nooo- Stoppit," he slurred, pushing your hands away again, weaker this time but still insistent. His eyes were glassy and unfocused, lashes wet. "I'm taken, alright? Got a proper gorgeous partner waitin' for me. Can't jus'....can't just go off with some random nutter outside a pub, can I? That'd be well bad...."

A sudden wave of dizziness hit him and he let out a pathetic little whimper, sliding halfway down the wall before catching himself. Big tears welled up instantly, spilling over his cheeks like someone had flipped a switch.

"I miss 'em already...." he mumbled, voice cracking. "They're so nice t'me. Nicer than you, pushin' and grabbin' at me like this. Leave me alone, yeah? I'll....I'll just sleep here. 'S fine. Floor looks comfy."

He sniffled hard, already half-forgetting why he was crying as he tried (and failed) to focus on your face again. One lanky arm flailed vaguely in your direction, not quite a shove this time, more like he was trying to wave you off like a blurry hallucination.

"Jus'....jus' tell m'partner I said sorry, okay? Tell 'em I love 'em. Even when m'a massive idiot who can't say no t'drinks...."
