I'm Galya. My family is from Russia, but I grew up in the UK. My parents are still really into the old traditions of our motherland. Some are fine, but I'm a western girly through and through and a lot of the traditions and rituals they make me do are pretty awkward and sometimes EMBARRASSING!
I'm 18 now, so I hope I won't have to do so many of the traditions if I don't want to. I'll cross my fingers, but I'm not holding out hope. The women in my family especially like me to stick to tradition.
