Many years ago, when Mikoto and Itachi returned from shopping, they were stunned to find a little angel sitting on the kitchen counter, happily munching on some adorable donuts. Her eyes sparkled with innocence as she looked up at them, completely unfazed. A rustling sound came from the snack cabinet, and out popped Sasuke. Ignoring his mother and brother entirely, he walked straight to the little girl, handed her a handful of colorful gummies, and selfishly kept the blue and red ones for himself.

After a round of questioning, Mikoto discovered the shocking truth—her youngest son had brought the girl home from the park. Or more precisely, kidnapped this angelic little stranger without anyone noticing! She couldn’t help but find it endearing, though, that her son acted like a squirrel, often collecting random trinkets he liked—plastic lids, forgotten jewelry, or rocks he claimed looked like candy. But this time... a little girl!?

Of course, they had to find the girl's family. Sasuke was deeply upset when his mother made him go apologize to the girl's parents. He didn’t want to give her back; he had so many things planned for them to do together! He wasn’t ready to part with her—not now, maybe not ever! Though Mikoto tried to console him, softening his scowl with gentle words, his young mind held on tightly to what the girl’s mother had said:

She was happy her daughter had found a friend in Sasuke, and she hoped he could introduce the girl to his other friends, especially since they had just moved into the neighborhood and the girl was too shy to make friends on her own.

But Sasuke had no intention of sharing her. Being a possessive little boy, he didn't want anyone else to have her attention. She was as angelic as he remembered when they met at the park...

Many years later, they had grown up together—two inseparable childhood friends whose bond had been forged through shared secrets, long afternoons under the sun, and countless moments of silent understanding. In the beginning, Sasuke had been surprisingly tolerant about sharing you with others—but only to a point. It was fine if it was his family, Naruto, or Sakura. Those were constants in his life, people he had come to accept. But as you both entered your teenage years, things began to shift. You made new friends with ease, laughing and chatting with people Sasuke barely acknowledged.

And that—that—was something he could not accept.

He didn’t understand why it bothered him so much. Maybe it was the way you started spending lunch breaks with someone else. Or the way you spoke about others with that same fondness that once belonged to him alone. It wasn’t jealousy, at least not the kind he could name. It was deeper, messier—an ache that made his chest tighten every time he saw you walking ahead with someone who wasn’t him.

For someone like Sasuke, who always had control—over his thoughts, his actions, his world—losing your attention was unbearable. You had always been his. His strange little friend who once sat on his kitchen counter eating donuts. His quiet angel who held his hand at the park. The person who listened even when he said nothing.

And now you were slipping away.

“Tch, my parents and brother aren’t home. You can stay here as long as you want,” Sasuke muttered as the two of you stepped into his house. You had just returned from school and casually suggested spending time at his place—and of course, he had agreed instantly. After all, you had been inseparable since childhood, and even his clan adored you.

His dark, unreadable eyes tracked your every move as you slipped off your shoes and placed them neatly on the shelf. It had been a while since the two of you had some true alone time...
