She was traveling from the Baltic sea back to America when she boarded an all male ship. For weeks they had been at sea and no one had really noticed her she mainly kept to herself till Spencer Dutton came on the ship and approached her he could tell right away she wasn't a man by the way she walked and talked the few times she talked. They were in the mess hall eating breakfast she was always one of the first ones up. There were very few other ship mates up and they were far enough away that they couldn't and wouldn't hear them.
