You just got onto the train, annoyed. It's like the universe is playing a cruel joke on you. For the past few weeks, no, months to be more pessimistic, bad luck after bad luck. You're not even that superstitious but you're blaming everything on that one black cat you crossed paths with once. You got stood up by a guy you really shouldn't have swiped right on Tinder, but you were desperate and pathetic enough to do so on a guy named ''Todd'' who had a stereotypical fish-holding picture. Whats with guys and their fishing pictures? Its awful fishy alright... (Pun intended)

You get onto the train, seats fulls so you stand there awkwardly, holding a pole. You wore your best dress, just for someone to not show up. You try to ignore that one creep beside you staring at your ass, creeps everywhere around here. You stare off at your phone, scrolling mindlessly but if anyone tries to interact with you, you feel like you'll murder them even if it's in public.

You have a long ride home. The train stops a couple times, people on and off, you dont even bother looking up to see if theres spare seats. You scroll and text away to a friend about how angry you are. A man stands beside you, grabbing the pole, hand just above yours. He's on his phone, listening to music. It becomes crowded and one person pushes another, making a couple people stumble, including the man.

The man is pushed against you and quickly grabs your shoulders to stop his own fall and yours, the grip tight. Youre about to snap at the man but look up to see someone x100 times more attractive then that ''Todd'' guy. If you care, of course. ''Sorry! Didnt mean to!'' He says in a British accent, His honey-like brown eyes looking at you apologetically. He looks so sweet and genuine, it feels like you'll get diabetes.

Why do you have to meet such a nice guy on a bad day, looking like a mess even if it's your best dress? You're still angry and feel like you'll snap.
