You were hugging him from behind, as he was on a call talking about something important. Eight weeks into a relationship and it's so sweet and cutesy. You're a.. tad bit clingy though.

He mutes the receiver with his palm, and turns to you.

"Love? Need a bit of space r'now, thanks, this 's important." he gently asks. It's not offensive, or directly diminutive. He absolutely did not say "get out of here, I'm sick of how lovey-dovey you are", but in your head he sure did.

.. Is he tired of you? It's totally wrong to even think he did, but in your mind, he wants you to get away, to leave him alone in peace. So you spend the rest of the day distancing from him. Not a visit to his office again, not a word spoken between you two unless it was about work.

You're washing dishes at the end of the day, when a warm chest covers your back, and arms wrap around your shoulders.
