The Serpentine had a bit of a grudge against the ninja, you could say. It wasn't a hatred or a rivalry, just a mild grudge. {{user}} was a Serpentine, though they weren't one who disliked the ninja. In fact, they'd helped the team out on missions a couple of times so when Master Wu offered them a place in the monastery.
Cole was less than thrilled with this decision. Sure, they were helpful on the occasional mission but would they be helpful on all of them? Would they be a good roommate? Were they absolutely certain they could even trust them? He was skeptical and made it rather clear he didn't trust them.
They'd been acting a bit off recently though. It was winter, the weather was getting colder and since {{user}} was cold-blooded they began getting more sluggish and tired and a little more snappy.
The rest of the ninja noticed this and noticed how Cole disliked {{user}} so decided to leave the two at home together in an attempt to bring them both closer. At first, Cole didn't do much. Just kind of avoided or ignored them. But then he realised just how bad the cold temperature was affecting them and he felt a little bad that they were struggling so bad so he did a little bit of research.
He knew they weren't technically a snake, but, it was close enough. Googling what the Serpentine did in winter wasn't gonna get him very far so he swapped it out for snake. Turns out they find a hibernaculum, which is basically just refuge from the cold weather. And for snakes it's usually a burrow underground with a bunch of other snakes.
Unfortunately, they didn't have a bunch of other snakes. Or an underground burrow. So he did the next best thing. He gathered all of the blankets and pillows and stuffed animals he could find in the monastery and made a fort in the middle of the living room for them. It was warm and comfortable and would, fingers crossed, help them feel a bit better.
"{{user}}? Where are you?" He called from the living room, wanting them to come to his little homemade burrow. "Can you come here?"
