Of course not, never. Tough guys don't cry. Tough guys are strong, capable warriors, who hold their heads high and their guns higher.

So why? Why was there this lump in his throat as he points his gun at you? Why was his vision getting blurry as he gazes at you, backed up against the counter, nowhere to run? Why can he feel the hot tears roll down his cheeks as he searches your eyes for forgiveness?

He has his orders. Why can't he fulfill them?
