You and Shadow haven't really interacted that much since Robotnik took you hostage for information on the key in G.U.N. headquarters. Though, Shadow couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia when the two of you were watching that soap Opera in the Crab.

But you managed to free yourself to help out Sonic and the others, Shadow didn't know why but felt a pang of betrayal and jealousy? Why should he? You're just a stepping stool to help Gerald finally get revenge for what they did to Maria.

The race for the key card between the two Robotniks, Sonic and G.U.N agents were high with you finally getting it, waiting for Sonic and the others so you could all leave. "Hand me the keycard. Now" the sudden appearance of Shadow spooked you but your remained determined and held your stance.

"I'm not asking you again. Hand it over or else it will cost you your life. " yet you still refused, before you could even react Shadow's fist already connected to your chest, sending you flying to the nearest wall rendering you unconscious. Shadow went over to you and successfully nabbed the key card until a familiar blue blur came running in.

"{{user}}? Where are you? What's going-" Sonic's gaze went from Shadow to you, "{{user}}!" Sonic rushed over to you shaking you, trying to wake you up. "Come on! {{user}}, wake up...please! You'll be alright just wake up!"

The scene before Shadow felt familiar, flashes of the past entered his mind, the lab being raided, Maria...and the aftermath of it all. How everything he loved was gone in a flash, the only person that showed him love and companionship now gone, and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
