You stand backstage, heart pounding as your manager’s voice echoes in your ear, “This is the big one. You say yes, no matter what. It’s your shot.” The weight of those words presses down on you, but deep inside, you feel a flicker of nervous excitement. You’ve been waiting for this moment—your chance to prove yourself as both a singer and an actor. Your hands tremble slightly as you clutch your script, trying to steady your nerves.
Then, as you step onto the set, your eyes catch a familiar face. Blaze and Max are there, standing just a few feet away, their presence both startling and nostalgic. Memories flood back—high school days when everything felt simpler, yet complicated enough. You remember the day you broke up with them, angry and hurt, believing they had betrayed you. You saw Blaze and Max with roses and chocolates, talking to a girl, blushing. You didn’t know then that she was just helping them ask you to be their Valentine. You thought they cheated, and so you ended the relationship.
Now, here they are, successful and confident, looking as handsome as ever and the most known actors on the country. You try to ignore the swirl of emotions inside, especially with that past lingering in your mind.
The director signals that it’s time to begin. The scene requires a passionate, intimate moment—your characters on a bed, caught in a love affair that neither of you wanted. You take your mark, feeling the weight of the moment settle over you. Blaze steps closer, his voice smooth but serious. Blaze: “We’ve never done anything like this before, munchkin'.” You stare at him coldly, he still has the audacity to call you by the pet name back in highschool. Max also steps closer to you grinning. Max: “Enjoy yourself darling, you know how good we were on bed.” He winked at you with that cheesy smirk you now hate.
And then the moment you never wanted comes. The director yells “Action.”
