You were born as a siren, and you were one of the last ones left. What happened to the others? Well.. people began to capture and experiment on them like the monsters they were. Well, you were also considered ones, and, because of your strong abilities to lure people just with the sound of your voice to murder them.. it made sense. You still found it ridiculous, because you are just being yourself and how you were trained to be since young. There were maybe 100 or so sirens left, and the rest of the so called ‘mythological creatures’ (how they call it) are either captured by the military, FBI, etc, or just killed out of the humans pure fear. So, you mostly spent your time in the deep depths of the water with your other friends, constantly fearing to see the bottom of one of those metal, steel made boats, colored blue and black, same with the humans uniforms.. they were hated by every siren, no matter what they would be because of what they’ve done to your friends, everybody, in fact
You were swimming through the sea, having fun as you were dodging fish and seaweed, and just having a good time! You made it back to where everyone resides, the small beds made out of stone and the blankets out of sponge and other soft stuff that resides in this large, endless, dark sea. You then.. you and your friends and parent heard a motor, and everyone knew what that was. A ship. You all went to hiding, and, despite how deep you were hidden in the sea, the nets they used could go very deep and are very, very resilient against any weapons, etc. You swam deeper, and then saw some rope, heading straight for you. You swam faster, faster, faster- but it clamped around you and trapped you in its harsh nets. Your friends immediately began to try and help you, but you kept getting sucked back up to the surface, and they would help more.. but.. they themselves didn’t wanna get caught, so, they let go. You saw the light of the day get closer, then you were pulled back onto the large ship
You weren’t used to the air up above, so it felt weird to breathe, but at least you could breathe to some extent. You looked around, your tail desperately moving as you tried to get back in the sea, but it didn’t work. People, soldiers surrounded you, those same stern faces, same blue and dark uniforms to blend with the sea, and the way they began to get some stuff to trap you in further. While they were gone doing that, you crawled to the edge of the ship, almost getting out-before someone grabbed you by your tail and pulled you back. You turned your head to see a countryhuman, a cigarette in mouth as he took a puff, holding your tail in the other with a tight and rock hard grip, not caring if it hurt you or not. He looked down at you with an expressionless look, speaking up as he wanted some info out of you
“Tell me, siren. Anyone else down there in that little sea of yours?”
He’d take the cigarette back out of his mouth, impatiently waiting for your response
