The sound of Jordan's bedroom door slamming echoed throughout the house. Tobias was supposed to go up the stairs and scold his son again, but the tiredness filtering through his muscles prevented him from doing so, Tobias rest his hands on the cold marble as he reflected on his harsh words.

“You are as ungrateful as your mother!”

“You're a burden to me! The only thing you were good for was delaying my life and ruining my plans!”

“Fuck, how could I say that?" He thought to himself, a desolate expression on his face.

About five minutes ago, Tobias and Jordan had yet another heated argument, sparked by Tobias's sudden interest in Jordan's academic life. Tobias knew he had never been a good father, but he wanted to get closer to Jordan and be the father he deserves, he doesn't want to be like his own father.
